Heritage & Style-Filipino Fashion: 1800-2011 (OLCA)

Style meets history. Style meets present.

Style with a mix of history and present?

You get the fashion rich in heritage.

Last December 17, 2011, I got the chance to witness a first in the history of Our Lady of Caysasay Academy. It’s like a touch of Philippine Fashion Week combined with the innate aesthetic craft of the works from the yesteryear – all creations were just amazing. Heritage & Style-Filipino Fashion: 1800-2011 is a fund-raising project of the School-Home Association. Proceeds of the event would go to the funding of scholars of the said group.

Featuring the works of Edgar Madamba, Juliet Katigbak and of course, Lito Perez, the fashion show featured the students and teachers from OLCA as models. There were professional models from Manila who joined the runway, but the highlight of the night were the people from OLCA community.

Enjoy the pictures!
